Dean Clark, B.Sc. (Honors), MBA, Managing Director - Calgary

For 25 years, Dean has helped early- and growth-stage companies and fostered entrepreneurship. As Managing Director, he brings 25 years of consulting expertise to Canadian Ventures Inc. Business owners, directors, and investors rely on Dean's comprehensive skills and experience in researching, strategizing, formulating, and implementing business and corporate level initiatives.

Dean has successfully advised over 200 privately-held companies and dozens of TSX-V corporations across Canada in a senior business advisory, corporate finance, and strategic transaction role. He has conducted and participated in an impressive number of complex research, valuation, planning, structuring, financings, transactions, and other business assignments. As well, he has capably created and implemented a variety of disclosure documents and professional campaigns to source, negotiate and close financings, joint ventures, strategic transactions, and other corporate-level strategic initiatives. In serving clients over the years he has completed numerous feasibility studies, business plans, due diligence reports, business pricing analyses, and particularly financings, mergers, acquisitions and other transactions.

Canadian Ventures Inc. has benefited from his previous experience; before founding Canadian Ventures Inc., he managed consulting services for a mid-market mergers and acquisitions firm, and before that , he managed the Calgary regional office of a boutique investment bank. Prior to this position, he was an independent management consultant, servicing clients in Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. At the start of his professional career, he managed a regional office in Ottawa, Ontario for an international engineering and environmental firm.

Dean obtained his Bachelor of Science (Honors, 1986) from the University of Alberta and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Calgary (1997).
